The company's original business was the manufacture of hardwood lumber with the first two sawmills near Cayuta, New York. The backbone of Cotton-Hanlon, Inc. has always been the ownership and management of timberland.  Today the company's only business is the long term profitable management of over 33,000 acres of timberland in New York and Pennsylvania. This includes the sale of 1,500,000 - 2,000,000 board feet of standing timber each year as well as the expansion of our hunting lease program. Today that program represents 230 leases covering nearly 30,000 acres with many acres of prime locations for deer and turkey hunting still available.
